Wood, Paint

Lotte Lyon utilizes common materials which it is possible to secure in sites such as Home Center in conjunction with vivid colors to create minimal sculpture with maximum effect and a minimum amount of work. The sculpture has the appearance of designed furniture but is not in any way functional; this is the artist's intent. In Lyon's photographs objects are easy to read; solid and bright in color.
