Kento Handa Presents
"From Beauty to moretsu"




Kento Handa was born in 1984 in Hyogo prefecture. He debuted in the television
drama "Gokusen"(NipponTV) in 2002. The following year, 2003, Handa became the
first high school student to play the role of Takumi Inui on the Hesei version of theTV program series "Kamen Rider", "Kamen Rider 555". He entered the limelight with his performance on this program. A film version,"Kamen Rider 555 Paradise Lost" had a record 1.3 million viewers. Following this, he participated in "Shin-Kasouken no onna"(TV Asahi), "Ai no soleares"(Fuji TV),"Sengoku jieitai - Sekigahara no tatakai". Handa also gained attention when featured with Wentz Eiji in the TBS drama "Tadashii renai no susume".
Handa frequently appears on the TV program "Tamori Club"and regularly
writes text for magazines; he is a multi-talented "Ikemen" actor.
People called this young, 23 years old man a "missionary of Kayou (early Japanese pop music)."

An early supporter of contemporary art within Japan, Daisuke Miyatsu was a collector before the present-day domestic and international "art-boom". Countless artists collected by Miyatsu in earlier times have since become stars in the international art world. Contemporary Art requires a series of relationships to obtain to function : the collectors, artists, gallerists and museums all must communicate.
Daisuke Miyatsu will discuss : for the office lady and slary man interested in art but lacking in knowledge about how one goes about choosing to acquire an artwork,how to deal with a gallery and how to live with the art once it has become a part of your collection.
Following the talk, Miyatsu will gladly accept questions from the audience. Please join us for a thoughtful discussion and a glass of wine!

After the talk event there will be a special lottery for presents such as art-goods and signed artist books provided by galleries participatin in New Tokyo Contemporaries.

  Muneteru Ujino will be performing as UJINO AND THE ROTATORS. THE ROTATORS performances utilize regular home electronics which are commonly available following Ujino's idea of " motif of the
uniformity of culture in a big city in the world". This performance has traveled in this world and finally will appear in Marunouchi this Spring!

Muneteru Ujino was born in 1964 in Tokyo; he lives and work in Tokyo.
From 1993, he started to create an original machine called "Love Arm".
He had used this love arm for performances re-creating sounds such as that of an engine. Ujino subsequently participated in several group exhibitions and live events. In 2004, he presented the sound sculpture "The Rotators". Unjino participated in the Sydney Biennale (2006) in Australia as well as exhibited in Beijing, China.
He is frequently traveling for exhibitions and the presentation of live performance activities.

Tomio Koyama Gallery is an institution within the Japanese Contemporary Art community.The gallery has been in existence for 11 years. Tomio Koyama will discuss the present state and 11 year history of his gallery. Younger gallerists will participate in the event, asking several questions to Tomio Koyama.
